Earlier today; Sunday, 19th March, 2023, Adeniyi Opeyemi – Our #Act2EndFGM Youth Activist led two other CBO members – Shittu Kehinde and Ogunsola Sunday to the monthly meeting of Youth wing of christian association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) Lanlate, Ibarapa East LGA branch for reflective dialogue on the elimination of Female Genital Mutilation, Gender-Based Violence, Violence Against Women and Children and child marriage.
Participants had their capacity built on the subject matters. The platform also provided avenue for Christian youth leaders to ask questions and clear air about myths and misconceptions surrounding FGM, GBV, VAWC and Child Marriage.
They pledged to use their religious gatherings and platforms to advocate and create awareness to eliminate Female Genital Mutilation, Gender-Based Violence, Violence Against Women and Children and child marriage.
