With the support of UNICEF Nigeria, Trailblazer Initiative Nigeria hosted a 1-day inauguration meeting and medical outreach with FGM survivors across 5 communities in Oluyole LGA. This event marked the establishment of a network of survivors, empowering them to become advocates for change within their communities.
In the weeks ahead, these survivors will receive NGN50,000 each as livelihood support, equipping them with the resources to rebuild their lives and drive poverty alleviation. Together, we’re fostering resilience, empowerment, and a future free of FGM.
Through our Medical Outreach for FGM Survivors, about 100 community members from five communities in Oluyole LGA received vital medical care and support.
This initiative provided much-needed health services to FGM survivors and other vulnerable community members, addressing their physical and emotional well-being. The outreach also included education on the harmful effects of FGM, empowering survivors and their families with knowledge to advocate for change.
We are grateful to UNICEF Nigeria for their invaluable partnership in making this possible. Together, we are creating healthier, safer communities and advancing the fight against FGM.
