DESCRIPTION:Are you passionate about making an impact and making positive inevitable in our society? Do you want to help in the personal development of young adults\, elimination of Female Genital mutilation (FGM)\, Gender-Based Violence (GBV)\, Harmful traditional practices and other development issues? \nIf yes\, then we need you. This is your chance to leave a mark. \nThe Trailblazer Initiative Nigeria is looking for volunteers to join a nationwide outreach to educate and engage youths both online (using social media and mass media) and onsite (communities). \nOur volunteers will have the opportunity to work and be part of the TBI team and will be able to make meaningful contributions to our programs and activities which includes; FGM\, Girls Education\, Accountability\, support for Youth Organizations\, SRH/GBV\, Youth\, and SDGs. \nELIGIBILITY AND EXPECTATION \nVolunteers must; \n\nBe willing to undergo an online training if selected\nHave an internet enabled phone (Android or iphone)\nBe willing to sensitize and educate students on media and information literacy and fact-checking as a means of combating fake news.\nMust understand the use of social media and be willing to use their platforms promote this mission.\nMust have good communication and critical thinking skills.\nHave strong commitment to the values and principles of volunteering\, respect for diversity and a willingness to work in a multicultural environment. They must also be able to adjust to changing\, and at times difficult\, living and working conditions.\nDisplay computer skills such as Word\, Excel\, Power point and use of email.\nFluent in written and spoken English Language\n\nAREAS OF MOST NEED: \n\nPublic Health Issues (WASH\, Community Health\, Nutrition\, EBF\, Immunization\, Maternal Health etc)\nICT (Graphics Design\, Infographics\, Data Mining\, Data Analysis\, Data Interpretation)\nMedia (Technical Reporting\, Media Content Development\, Social Media Optimization)\nMonitoring and Evaluation\nEducation (Basic Education\, Education in Emergencies\, Vocational and Technical Education)\nEconomic Empowerment (Vocational Skills\, Micro\, Small and Medium Enterprise Development)\nLaw and Legal Aid service (Development and review of human resource and grant agreements as well as Memoranda of Understanding\nOutreaches and Community Mobilization\n\nWHY YOU SHOULD VOLUNTEER WITH US \n\nMeet like-minded professional volunteers\nHelp communities in need to improve their quality of life.\nAn opportunity to broaden your skills and enrich your career.\nBe part of our work defending the rights of children and young people.\nWe improve your employability:Volunteering with us is an excellent way to boost your career prospects\nYou are needed:Being a volunteer\, you can directly get involved with a noble work\, serving those who need your care and affection.
