Today, as we mark the International Day of the Girl Child, Trailblazer Initiative Nigeria (TBI) celebrates the power, potential, and rights of every girl across the globe. This year’s theme, “Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Time is Now!”, calls for renewed focus on ensuring that girls everywhere have the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
In many parts of Nigeria, girls continue to face significant barriers, including gender-based violence, child marriage, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and limited access to education. At TBI, we are committed to breaking these barriers through our work in advocacy, education, and empowerment. We believe that by investing in girls’ rights, we are investing in the future of our nation.
This day is a reminder that every girl deserves to be valued, heard, and protected. Our work with communities, schools, and local leaders ensures that girls have access to safe environments, proper education, and the necessary tools to build their future.
