Alhaji (Dr) Sule is an Islamic scholar 
and a lecturer at Lanlate college of Education in Ibarapa East LGA of Oyo State who believes every girl child should mutilated because in his opinion, Islam said so. He was planning to cut her girls before her wife reached out to one of Youth Activists in the LGA who him as a participant to the advocacy dialogue session we had with influential leaders in Lanlate.
During the programme, he testified to have had a change of heart due to the knowledge gained at the meeting. He confessed that many people have tried to convince him in the past not cut her girls but that he insisted because of him believe.
He promised not to cut the girl’s vagina and would advocate for the elimination of FGM especially among his colleagues who they share them orientation and beliefs on FGM.
According to the Youth Activist who is saddled with responsibility of following up with him, she said the man’s wife is overwhelmed with joy due to the fact that the man never raised the issue of cutting the girls again. Infact, the man is now an advocate of ending FGM among his friends and his place of worship.
