On Friday, 13th March 2023, one of our Youth Activists – Oyalowo Sulaiman Lekan Sullek and Fadairo Sefiu of NASFAT (one of the CBOs we empowered in February, 2023) were at Success Muslim College, Igangan in Ibarapa North LGA of Oyo State.
The staff and students of the school were sensitized and empowered on advocacy skill needed for the elimination of Female Genital Mutilation, Gender-Based Violence, Violence Against Women and Children and Child Marriage for over two hours.
The programme gave opportunity to both students and teachers as well as other staff of the school to ask various questions that has been bothering them and answers and clarifications were provided them.
At the end of the programme, they promised to #Act2endFGM by advocating and create awareness in their community to #endFGM, #EndGBV, #EndVAWC and #EndChildMarriage.
