Trailblazer Initiative Nigeria (TBI) was honored to participate in the Sensitization/Public Enlightenment/Preventive Campaign on Infectious Seasonal Diseases, organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Oyo State Directorate.
The Director of NOA Oyo State, Dr. Kemi Afolayan, welcomed participants and encouraged them to pay close attention to health professionals’ insights and share the knowledge with their communities.
Speaking at the event, which was well-attended by health educators, religious leaders, market men and women, youths, and other key stakeholders, the Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, represented by Dr. Olufemi Ayoola, Director of Health and Social Care, emphasized the importance of personal and environmental hygiene, regular handwashing, and proper food preservation to curb the spread of infectious diseases.
In their contributions, Oyo State Health Promotion Officer, Mr. Olaoye Olarinde, and State Epidemiologist, Dr. Iyabo Kareem, highlighted the importance of a balanced diet, maintaining cleanliness, and regular health check-ups to prevent disease outbreaks.
Our Executive Director, Dr. Dare Olagoke-Adaramoye, stressed the need for participants to leverage their existing platforms to spread awareness and share the knowledge gained. He encouraged participants to:
