Position: Project Coordinator

Post Station: Ekiti

Job Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will support the planning, execution, evaluation and reporting of programs and projects. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager and other team members to ensure all aspects of our programs run smoothly. Position holder will report to the Executive Director. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement projects activities in line with work plans and projects deliverables
  2. Provide recommendations on expanding program offerings to enhance the quality of existing programs
  3. Facilitate community-based sensitization and education programs.
  4. Prepare periodic reports on project progress and achievement, and update program documents including reports and work plans.
  5. Provide periodic feedback to the programs unit on project outputs and outcomes.
  6. Work closely with the M&E Team for efficient Monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
  7. Conduct monitoring and periodic audits of program design and implementation phases of the project. h. Participate in annual project reviews and planning meetings.
  8. Conduct research for programming design and support resource mobilization process
  9. Liaise with the communications team to increase awareness of programs.
  10. Undertake other tasks assigned in line with projects deliverables by the Programs Manager, and /or Executive Director.

 Required Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Social Work, Sociology, Political Science or any related field.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing developmental projects with an NGO for at least 3 years on donor funded projects.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, google workplace, etc
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with less supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of program and project management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience with programmatic, M&E, and financial reporting with effective people management skills.
  • Experience managing or working on any UN, USAID or FCDO funded projects will be an added advantage
  • Qualified female applicants are strongly encouraged.
