King and Queen (as we normally call them) met in 2004 and fell in love at first sight. We thought it was going to be one those campus relationships that will break up after sometimes but they proved us wrong! They stuck together as one not minding or fearing circumstances and conditions surrounding there future. They were truely in love, they were each other’s favourite and best friend!
Few weeks ago the unimaginable happened. Queen was 5weeks pregnant! Both parents scolded their child in anger and annoyance, but as fate will have it, they fixed a wedding date! It is going to be sometimes in June and i am to be the best man! We friends, families and well-wishers have started running around to ensure the success of this day, little did we know that the worst lies ahead.
Few weeks to the proposed wedding their pastor adviced them to go for tests (retroviral, genotype and phenotye), it was then that i receive the greatest shock of my life, they were both AS! Not only that, their fetus is SS! When i heard this it was as if my world came crashing! To worsen the situation the parents ordered the pregnancy be aborted and wedding cancelled!
Medically, it is not advisable for an AS to marry an AS or SS, They can only marry an AA because of there Children.
I have heard of happy, lovely and funfilled-fulfilled relationships of many years breaking up at the later stage because they fail to know their status at the initial stage!
I advice every reader of my note to please know and satisfy their HIV status and genotype/phenotype status!
It costs a little money and can save you from eternal pains!
